Ridley Corporation commenced operating in 1987 with a vision to be Australia's leading manufacturer of stockfeed, servicing the rural community nationwide. To accomplish this ambition, in 1990 Ridley Corporation purchased Barastoc Stockfeeds, an Australian pioneer in the field of steam pelleting technology and a prominent Stockfeed manufacturer in Victoria.
With a passion for further growth and expansion, Ridley Corporation Ltd attained the complimentary business Cheetham Salt Limited in 1992. Over the next decade, Ridley Corporation Ltd continued to establish multiple ventures, introducing stockfeed and salt operations into all corners of Australia as well as entering the international market place, purchasing Ridley Inc. which owned Feed-Rite located in Western Canada and Hubbard Feeds in the US mid-west.

Likewise, Cheetham Salt took on the world with salt operations expanding to New Zealand, Indonesia and an office in Japan. Although international feed manufacturing companies have since been sold, Ridley Corporation Ltd achieved its passion for growth and leadership.
