Quality
The quality of our manufacturing processes and products are integral to our future prosperity. In Australia all 21 of our AgriProducts plants are Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certified and our quality management system are registered to the comprehensive ISO 9001:2000 standard. These registrations acknowledge that Ridley’s manufacturing processes are transparent, verifiable and in step with the rest of the food industry.
We are undertaking HACCP audits of major suppliers to further guarantee that only the highest quality product is made by Ridley.
All Cheetham Salt’s sites are registered to ISO9001:2000 and are being upgraded to ISO 9002. The sites that produce salt for food products are HACCP certified.
In North America, Ridley Inc is the first and only livestock feed manufacturer to be registered to the ISO 9001 quality standard and our 47 US and Canadian plants all have HACCP certification. Our Food Safety Committee meets regularly to examine those issues that may affect the quality of our products, including issues of bio-security, BSE, Foot and Mouth Disease, antibiotic resistance and bio-terrorism, and to ensure all necessary procedures are in place to support our policies on food safety.
Ridley’s commitment to quality was recognised in 2003 when our US feed operation received the American Feed Industry Association’s inaugural Food Safety Innovation Award, which recognises firms and organisations that are on the cutting edge of food safety technology and are responsible for pioneering new food safety methods.

Ridley Corporation is a manufacturer of products that go into the human food chain. We therefore see the quality of our products as our top priority. To meet our own and our customers high expectations, we influence, control and measure our quality performance against our objectives and statutory requirements.
Our Company has quality as its a core value. The Board of Directors and Executive Management are committed to ensuring that our products meet or exceed the standards for food safety. Accordingly, Ridley Corporation has implemented both ISO 9000 and HACCP quality systems across our business to ensure food safety and continual process improvement.
Ridley is totally committed to the following core principles:
- We will always stay focused on food safety and quality at all points of the food chain, always ahead of profitability
- We set benchmarks for quality within our business and for our suppliers and measure employee, contractor and supplier performance against these benchmarks
- We provide training for all relevant employees, contractors and suppliers to ensure that quality meets the standards expected of a food manufacturer
- We report on quality matters to the highest levels of management so that appropriate action can be taken where required
- We ensure that internal and external customers have appropriate tasks and responsibilities to maintain a high focus on quality assurance
- We commit to quarterly reviews and, where appropriate, updating of quality systems to ensure that our quality program remains proactive
