Barastoc® Beef Weaner Pellets
A pelleted grain ration for supplementing beef weaners, or lot feeding cattle weighing 120-300kg liveweight.

Feeding Directions
- Barastoc Beef Weaner Pellets are suitable for feeding to cattle weighing greater than 120kg liveweight. Cattle weighing less than 120kg liveweight should be fed Barastoc Calf Rearer Pellets until they reach 120kg.
- Before starting to feed pellets ensure that the appropriate animal husbandry procedures are completed – consult a veterinarian for advice. Cattle of similar size and age should be drafted into groups.
- Before starting to feed Barastoc Beef Weaner Pellets ensure that all cattle have been fed with palatable hay to appetite for the first day.
- Start feeding cattle with Barastoc Beef Weaner Pellets at a rate of 0.5% liveweight per day. Gradually increase the rate of feeding each day for the next 21 days up to the desired level of feeding, or up to 2% liveweight per day.
- Ensure that a palatable roughage source such as dry pasture and/or palatable hay is always fed to appetite. Cattle must have access to a roughage source at all times.
- Barastoc Beef Weaner Pellets can be fed in self-feeders (allow 7.5-15cm trough space per head). Ensure slides are set to regulate feed intake and cattle need to lick feed out from under the slide. Alternatively, it can be fed in troughs (allow 25-30cm trough space per head) depending on liveweight.
